Meet Marjorie
She believes the world belongs to you, too — and she's spent a decade proving it.
Giving. Trustworthy. Honest about every dollar and every destination. Marjorie plans travel for people who were told — or quietly believed — that the world wasn't theirs to see.

Her story
Marjorie Bolden has been planning trips since 2015 — first for family, then church friends, then friends of friends, until “ask Marjorie” became the standing advice for anyone dreaming about a getaway. More than 60 travelers later, most of her clients are repeat travelers — and the stories from her group trips get retold at every family gathering.
Today, Marjorie B Travel is a Chicago-based travel agency where Marjorie acts as her clients' expert and consultant — booking, arranging, and reserving flights, hotels, cruises, and complete trips. An avid traveler herself, she brings first-hand experience to every recommendation she makes.
It began with a solo trip in 2015: Italy, the Amalfi Coast, Venice. “I was like — yeah, this is my life, and I've got to share it with people.” Not everyone came along at first. The turning point was booking a friend and her husband to Sandals — “and oh my God, that changed the whole dynamic.” Word spread from there.
Her mission has never changed: showing people cost-efficient ways to go international — for about what they'd spend driving to a family reunion — and showing African American travelers, especially those 60 and up, that they can explore the world, feel safe doing it, and be welcomed everywhere they go. Trips are paced for her people: no racing, no compromising, purely enjoying.
She earned her travel certification in 2015 and built her approach around one belief: travelers deserve real follow-through. Answers to every question. Honest advice about prices, destinations, and what's actually worth it — “I don't bite my tongue about nothing.” She's thorough, she follows the rules, and her public-safety background means every trip quietly has a plan B.
Her philosophy is simple: we are here to live our best lives now — not tomorrow, not “after things settle down.” Stay present, and you'll always have a great time.

Travel as a ministry of love
“During their 2024 trip to South Africa, Marjorie B. Travel blessed Zion City with a generous donation that touched the hearts of our children and community. Your kindness brought joy, encouragement, and hope, and it reminded us that travel can also be a ministry of love and service.”
